Steve Bebout proudly continues his collaboration with Casey Nicholaw after serving as Associate Director on The Book of Mormon (Broadway, National Tours), Something Rotten! (Broadway, National Tours), Disney's Aladdin (Broadway, National Tour) and Some Like It Hot (Broadway, National Tour). Steve is also the Supervising Resident Director of Disney's current production of Beauty and the Beast (National Tour, Vienna). With Jerry Zaks, Steve served as the Associate Director on The Addams Family (Broadway, National Tour, Brazil, Australia), Sister Act (Broadway), 101 Dalmatians (Tour) and Girl Crazy (Encores!), among others.
Steve's directing credits include the upcoming world premiere of Another Bloody Clue, and the world premieres of UnCivil and NYMF Award-winner I Got Fired (NYC, South Korea).
Regional theatre credits include Newsies (North Carolina Theatre, Stages St Louis), Clue (Stages St Louis –SALT Award), Annie (Casa Manana Theatre), The Buddy Holly Story (multiple productions) and Little Shop of Horrors (multiple productions), among others.
As a guest director for New York University, Steve directed Urinetown and Bye Bye Birdie. He has conducted master classes at multiple universities across the United States, and he holds a BFA in Drama from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
